Best Weapons to Fight Aging

As you may know, I am always on the hunt for foods or supplements that are anti-aging for my body and my skin.  I know when my eating habits need a kick-start, because I will break-out and my skin looks dull and drab.
Dr. Perricone is a favorite of mine and I truly see the value in the information that he shares with respect to eating healthy foods, consuming high quality supplements and taking care of our skin with proper skin-care. If you follow his advice you too will notice a big difference in your skin.  Your lines will be less visible, your skin will be more plump and radiant, as well as the tone an texture will be more smooth.
Below I have listed foods that are the most powerful anti-oxidants that we can consume.  We should try to eat 5 servings daily.
Blueberries, broccoli, yams, tomatoes, acai juice, green or white tea, red wine, salmon, cinnamon, ginger, curry, cayenne, rosemary, fibre, beans, flaxseed, and green leafy veggies.
OPC, otherwise known as pycnogenol (an anti-oxidant recommended by Dr. Perricone) supplement is a must in my daily cocktail of supplements.  Think anti-inflammatory for the body and skin, our largest organ! Along with a complex B vitamin and EFA's, I know that I am feeding my body and skin, as well as hair an nails too!
Eating well will show in your skin!  Try it, you will love your results and you may even drop a few unwanted pounds.

You can spend $65 on this scrub here or your can make your own for pennies and love how it makes you feel!

As demonstrated on Daytime, here are the recipes for my Sugar-Lemon Hand Scrub and Aspirin Facial Exfoliator.  You can easily make these at home and for pennies!

Sugar-Lemon Hand Scrub

1/2 Cup of sugar
1/2 Lemon Squeezed
Essential Oils of your choice, Lavender, Citrus or whatever you are in the mood for or have on hand.
I like to store the scrub in a clean jar and keep it in the fridge.  Or find a pretty container that has a tight lid so that your scrub will keep longer.
In the container, pour sugar and the juice of one lemon.  Mix and stir until the sugar forms a paste.  Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and you can even pour in a teaspoon of Almond Oil or Olive oil.  It will aid in the hydration and treating of the skin.
I hope to post pics soon but have a look at the video link for how it is demonstrated.
Use about a teaspoon to start and rub all over hands, elbows, feet, knees - wherever you need to slough off dead and dry skin.
Rinse off and enjoy soft, smooth skin!  Follow with a rich moisturizer for best effect!

Aspirin Facial Exfoliator

You will need;
a small bowl
5 aspirin tablets (I use no-name)
1/2 teaspoon of Warm-hot water
1/2 teaspoon of Honey
Place the tablets in a small bowl and dissolve them with the hot water.  Once the tablets are dissolved, mix in the honey.  Using your fingers, apply the scrub all over your face.  Let it sit for a few minutes.  Gently massage the scrub with your fingers and using small circles all over your face.
Focus on the areas that are driest and where you may have break-outs.  Rinse off with warm water and follow with your regular skin cream.
Let me know how you make out with either recipe.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
